Fastenopfer's involvement on the issue of uterine prolapse with CAED and Helvetas dates back before the millenium. Women Reproductive Rights Program (WRRP) started in 2005 with a view to address gender inequalities entering throgh the problem of uterine prolapse in Nepal. It had two pronged approach: one is to raise the issue in the communities and prepare women to make the demand for services while supporting few operations tokenistically; the second is to advocate for formulating appropriate policies working with media and other concerned stakeholders. Although its field-based community activities were run in the two terai districts - Siraha and Saptari - it also supported activities around the issue of uterine prolapse as a consequence of gender-based violence in the farwestern districts of Dailekh, Jajarkot, Doti, Achham and Surkhet over different programatic set up. Today, CAED, Fastenopfer's key partner is the cutting edge instituon on the issue of uterine prolapse for support and advocacy.
