The project is run in collaboration with the Rural Self-Reliance Development Centre (RSDC), one of longest standing partners of collaboration with FO and Helvetas. The Self-reliance Development of the Poor by the Poor Programme is the latest of Fastenopfer's involvement in Nepal. It is focused on savings and credit interwoven with community awareness and planning as well as kitchen gardening. A transformation of the savings and credit goups into cooperatives is planned as a phasing out strategy. This is the second of Fastenopfer's programs in Karnali, the programme lasts for 5 years. |
