Mismatched marriqge (in terms of age) is one of major hindrances to gender equity.

Partners are at the centre of Fastenopfer's operation. It takes building local capacity as a part of development itself. There are three kinds of partners:

• Joint funding partner which is Helvetas Nepal - a Swiss INGO one of the oldest development instituitions in Nepal - at the moment
• with CAED and NLFS it directly works by funding programs of common interests
• the partners' partners. RSDC and Sahavagi are two national NGOs under Fastenopfer-Helvetas collaboration. Subject to definition, there are more than 20 partners in the third category
