Girls perform a traditional dance in Achham, where Fastenopfer and Helvetas have been collaborating after few years of interruption by the insurgency.

The collaboration between the Swiss NGOs Fastenopfer and Helvetas in Nepal dates back to 1999. Both institutions jointly finance and accompany programs of common Nepali partner organizations under the themes of “improving livelihood” and “social justice”. Working areas are so far are the mid-western districts of Nepal run under their LLINK programme. The program was extended to few VDCs in Kalikot in 2008. A similar program is running since 2006 in the Far-western district of Darchula.
